Tell us about where you’re from, where you grew up, etc.
I grew up in Des Moines with my parents and two younger sisters. I currently live in Iowa City while I pursue a master’s degree in urban and regional planning at The University of Iowa and will move to Le Claire upon graduation in May.
What are your hobbies? What do you do for fun?
I really enjoy running and the outdoors. Camping, fishing, hiking, biking, and canoeing are some of my favorite hobbies.
What’s your all-time favorite movie? OR What show(s) are you currently watching?
My fiancé and I are in the process of buying an older house, so we really enjoy home improvement shows. We also enjoy watching Iowa Hawkeye athletics, all different kinds of documentaries, and other shows such as The Office, Parks & Rec, and Atlanta.
Who inspires you and why?
My dad is a big inspiration in my life. His strong work ethic is something I strive to match every day.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Camping at The Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota was one of my favorite trips of all time and hiking at Zion National Park was great as well. Fort Collins, Colorado and Austin, Texas are two cities I have enjoyed visiting the most.
Do you have any pets?
I finally got my first pet last year. It’s a beta fish named Obi. It surprises some people that I never had any pets growing up.
