What’s something unique that people don’t know about you?
My husband and I built a wiffleball field on our property two years ago after we moved to Springville. We host several tournaments during the summer and rent out the field to raise money for various nonprofit organizations.

What are your favorite activities in the community?
Running or walking on the trails and parks, and participating in 5K races.

What is some of the best parenting and/or leadership advice you have received?
Be a servant first. Own up to your mistakes and ask for forgiveness when you make them. Go out of your way to show appreciation for the contribution of others.

What are you most passionate about?
Using the talents and opportunities I’ve been given to serve others. I also see my role as a mother worth being passionate about, so I value the time I spend with my daughter when I’m not working.

Why is volunteering so important to you?
Volunteering is my way of saying thank you to the people who have given to me, my family, or to the things that I am passionate about. It allows me to connect with the community and meet people who challenge me to grow as an individual.

How did you decide to get involved with United Way?
When I recently served on a United Way Campaign Committee, I learned about all the ways United Way helps shape and improve my community. After understanding the value United Way adds, I knew it was important to get involved and help address the various needs around our community.

Why did you join the Young Leaders Society?
I have a deep respect for the sacrifice older generations have made for their families and communities. I believe I have a responsibility to carry on that tradition for the health and vibrancy of my community.
