May 18, 2020 | United Way Team

Stay in touch with UWECI and our projects through our weekly #ConnectingCommunity vlog updates.

The last 10 weeks of social distancing and self-quarantining have been trying times for many of us. United Way of East Central Iowa's leadership, specifically through volunteerism, has been a beacon of light during this time. In this week's update, President & CEO Kristin Roberts discusses more about how volunteering is changing our community, even when we're six feet apart.

Hear more about:

  • Our first-ever Virtual Day of Caring, and how companies were able to make a difference through a safe distance
  • How virtual bingo ties into volunteering, and how this can help other organizations across the nation and internationally
  • How a mask and food cards are making a difference in Jones County

Thank you to everyone who has given to UWECI’s COVID-19 CARE Fund, advocated for collaborative solutions, and volunteered to safely help our neighbors. Together, we Live United in our community's work against COVID-19.
