Stay in touch with UWECI and our projects through our weekly #ConnectingCommunity vlog updates.
United Way of East Central Iowa has been working to connect our community to fight COVID-19 before the virus was active in our community. Starting this week, President & CEO Kristin Roberts will bring you weekly updates on how we are uniting our community to fight emerging COVID-19 issues in East Central Iowa.
Hear more about:
- A thank you to our community
- UWECI as a hub for disaster relief
- A pilot for a no-contact food method of food distribution for those who don't qualify for Meals on Wheels
- Women United's diaper drive, which has raised over 35,000 for the Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank

Thank you to everyone who has given to UWECI’s COVID-19 CARE Fund, advocated for collaborative solutions, and volunteered to safely help our neighbors. If you find yourself able donate to the fund, please do. You'll help unite our community in the coming weeks and months. Distribution of the fund will focus on the current community needs, as well as future needs.
Again, thank you to our partner agencies, our individual and corporate supporters, and our volunteers, for helping us Live United in our community’s work against COVID-19.
